Extended field of view with minimal distortion

The sleek lamp head of the Lumeno 861XGR magnifying lamp features a large 110 x 150 mm oval real-glass lens that provides a crystal-clear, low-distortion field of view. The large lens allows precise work and comfortable viewing of small details. The magnifier is available with either 3 or 5 dioptres, offering the perfect magnification for a variety of applications.

The lens is available in two magnifications:

3 dioptres (1.75x magnification)

Working distance: 33 cm
Ideal for reading, crafting, needlework, cosmetics

5 dioptres (2.25x magnification)

Ideal illumination with two brightness levels

For even illumination of the work area, 60 super-bright SMD LEDs provide particularly high luminosity and a high colour rendering value (CRI > 90). The LEDs are evenly distributed around the magnifier on the underside of the lamp head.
Depending on your needs, the brightness can be switched between two levels. The first level offers a luminous intensity of 450 lumens, while the second level provides 950 lumens. The LEDs impress with low power consumption and a long service life of 25,000 hours.

With their pleasant colour temperature of 6500 K (similar to daylight), the professional magnifying lamp is suitable for a wide range of applications, both cosmetic and craft work. It is also a great help as a reading aid around the home.

Large working radius and precise positioning

The well-thought-out arm mechanism makes it easy to position the lamp. A protective rubber edge ensures a better grip and a degree of impact resistance.
Springs specially adjusted to the weight of the lamp head ensure precise positioning. The cover above them, made of sturdy plastic, prevents the risk of pinching and can be easily cleaned when necessary.
A hinged lid protects the lens against dust and the burning-glass effect, and stays open in position without getting in the way while you work.

Power is supplied by a power supply unit with safe low voltage.
The supplied clamp mount fits table tops up to 65 mm thick and can be attached just as quickly as it is securely.

Frequently asked questions

Which dioptre strength is right for me?

For most tasks a 3-dioptre lens (1.75x magnification) is the best choice – it gives you plenty of working distance and a large field of view. Only go for 5 or 8 dioptres if you need to see very fine detail: the stronger the lens, the smaller the field of view and working distance become.

Do I keep my glasses on while working?

Yes – work with your usual vision correction. Glasses and lens act together: if you already wear strong reading glasses, 3 dioptres is usually the better choice, because too much combined magnification shrinks the field of view and working distance and becomes tiring.

How is the lamp mounted – and is a stand included?

Our articulated-arm magnifying lamps come with a table clamp. A rolling or table stand can simply be selected as a set variant on the product page. Wall brackets and other holders are available as accessories.

How bright does a magnifying lamp need to be?

For close work at a desk, 500 to 1,000 lumens is the usual range. At Lumeno the range runs from 450 lumens on the compact Lambda S to 1,150 lumens on the 851X; the 680X delivers 550 lumens, and the 721X, 8213/8215 and 861X series around 950 lumens each. More important than the number is the distribution: the LEDs sit in a ring around the lens so the workpiece is lit from every side and no hard shadows form - which is exactly why a desk lamp plus a hand-held magnifier rarely does the job.

Is the lamp suitable for continuous professional use?

Yes, that is what these series are built for - in beauty studios, foot care, laboratories and workshops they run for many hours every day. More important than the housing material in the long run is the supply of spare parts: lenses, power supplies, clamps, brackets and stands can all be ordered individually and come from our own service department, which also carries out repairs. A scratched lens or a worn clamp is therefore no reason for a new device.

Where do the lamps come from?

Lumeno is a German brand. Advice, the spare parts store and the repair service are based in Germany, and here you buy directly from the manufacturer rather than through a middleman - which is why matching parts are still available even for older series.

3 or 5 dioptres for the oval lens – which is better?

3 dioptres give more working distance and a calmer image that stays sharp across the surface – ideal for long sessions. 5 dioptres show more detail but, by the laws of optics, have a smaller distortion-free area and less distance to the object.
